About us
From Restarter…
Restarter, with its logo you used to find on the used clothes containers, starts in 2012, within ECOBI, a Consortium working in the provinces of Modena,Udine, Ferrara, Bologna and Rimini, which gathers all the local social cooperatives that help disadvantaged people enter the world of work.
Up to now, ECOBI is composed of 26 social cooperatives that work in the field of environmental health and environmental services, with the aim of preserving and enhancing the chances to find a job for the disadvantaged people (ex-lege 381/91).
Restarter is the former ECOBI Consortium project for recycling used clothes: it was in order to reduce the amount of waste products to dispose, and to create new employment opportunities. It works within a wider and wider network of social solidarity, with the specific purpose of realizing an accurate control of the whole textile chain, from the collection to the re-input into the used clothes market.
…to Recooper
Recooper is the evolution of this beautiful story, an evolution that builds on the positive experiences of the past and reworks them into a brand-new project, which speaks to citizens in a simple way: it offers them innovatory services of collection, retrieval and reuse of textile, within an ethical and entirely transparent perspective.
